LIGHTEN UP DAY 16 - PLAY

Deb Wood, PhD, ND

Remember when we were little kids (yesterday), how we couldn't wait to play outside? For my brother and me, we couldn't wait to get off the school bus at the end of the day and go outside to run, jump, ride our bikes, roller skate, or play touch football. Shake off the sitting of the long day at school.

The only time we went inside was when it was dark, and mom called us in - or to eat something. Life was fun, and it didn't matter if it was raining or cold outside..

Ahhhh, the good old days. If you can't think of what to do to play, ask your grandkids. They know. .

IT'S TIME TO START HAVING A LITTLE FUN

Anthony William: "Step sixteen, play, is something that comes so naturally to children and babies but as we get older, it can get pushed out of our busy lives. And yet playfulness is incredibly important for all of us, not just kids but adults too! In this audio, we’ll talk about some of the benefits of play and what makes it so important.

We’ll also talk about some of the different options for bringing play back into our lives. Play can look like so many different things! It can be as simple as going outside to pick some flowers, or it can be as focused as going to an art class. Only you can know what feels like playfulness for you. And once you’ve found out how you like to play, you can begin to incorporate it into your life every single day.

At this point in the Healing Path, you’re really getting somewhere! We’re almost to the end now and as you begin to incorporate all of the different aspects we have talked about things will really begin looking up. You may find a desire to play wells up in you spontaneously and if so, listen to it! It’s time to start having a little fun!" www.MedicalMedium.me/The-Healing-Path

LET'S GO FLY A KITE

Today is Sunday, and the day before we leave for NOME to watch the Iditarod Teams cross the finish line. There will be a lot of festivities and celebrating. Lynne and I can't wait to make snow angels. In the meantime, what shall we eat today? We are keeping it light because our Battle Dawgs Team is bringing moose burgers, salmon and reindeer hot dogs. This will be a real test.
