A terrible snow storm is hitting the west coast of Alaska today, threatening our brave mushers and teams. 02 Days and 18 hours alone in the wilderness.
How ironic that Lynne and I are working on our transformation program to lighten up in the warmth of our tiny house in Anchorage, as Rick and the other mushers are facing their transformation in unbelievable extreme conditions about to become worse.
Today's EDUCATION is about LOVE.
Today provides a perfect opportunity to think about the love seen in the eyes and actions of the mushers for their teams of amazing Iditarod Olympic-athlete-dogs. Everywhere you looked you felt the love, especially from our veterans helping Rick and the dog-team. They get-it:
The purpose of the race.
The privilege of being part of the last great race on earth.
The experience of boot camp on steroids.
The grueling roller-coaster of emotions of being alone in the wilderness.
The trial of personal intestinal fortitude.
Pushing perseverance to the limit.
The culmination of years of training in preparation for this event, knowing they will be tested beyond normal human endurance: physically and emotionally.
Now our heroes and champions are facing one of the worst winter storms ever to hit this part of Alaska--alone with their team, their training, challenging deep inner true-grit.
I keep having flashbacks to last Sunday, watching Rick and each team leave the safety of the Willow-harbor, love-sledding across the frozen lake ... so very similar to watching our troops leave on deployment.
God bless all our heroes: Human-kind and canine-kind alike. America needs heroes again. We need people we can look up to and count on. These are the mentors of our youth.
Feel the love from LOVE Anthony William - our health-fearless-leader: (The Healing Path)
"Love is our twelfth step forward on The Healing Path and it is absolutely essential. Everybody wants love and wants to be loved but it’s also a really confusing subject. So let’s talk about it together. There are different kinds of love. There’s a casual love that we talk about every day. You might love your car or love a certain song. But then there is a deeper love called unconditional love and this is the kind of love that we all need and want so much.
In this audio, we’ll look at unconditional love and how to start cultivating it in your own life and in your own heart. Don’t worry if it feels like you have lost your ability to love or even if it feels like you have never been loved in this way, love is still available to you. It’s available to all of us. And in order to move forward in our lives and to start growing in the ways that we want to, it is essential that we choose love. I know you might feel overwhelmed or scared when thinking about love, but listen to this audio and I’ll share with you some insight that will help you to understand what it means to receive and give love freely. It’s truly one of the most important things we can do."
LIGHTEN UP SUCCESS INGREDIENTS: "Eat the foods that love you back," Dr. Doug Graham, 80-10-10 and from Dr. Deb: "MOVE every hour: Stretch, dance, march in place - make Fantastic Faces - just move."
Start and End the day with Celery Juice and make today a day of fun SNACKS:
16 Snacks for Life and overcoming adrenal fatigue:
Over 80% of us will experience adrenal fatigue multiple times over our lives. Symptoms can include weakness, lack of energy, trouble concentrating, becoming easily confused, forgetfulness, trouble completing basic tasks you could once handle easily, hoarse voice, poor digestion, constipation, depression, insomnia, not feeling rested after waking from sleep, and relying on naps during the day.
The best way to support your adrenals and help recover your health is to eat a light, balanced meal every 90 minutes to two hours. This grazing technique works because the frequent meals keep your blood sugar steady throughout the day; and as long as your glucose isn’t dropping, your adrenal glands don’t have to interfere. Giving your adrenal glands lots of rest allows them to devote energy to healing and restoring themselves.
Each of your meals should ideally contain a balance of potassium, sodium, and natural sugar (from fruit). This video shows some perfect snacks you can graze on to help recover your adrenal health, including:
* Apple, celery, and dates * Orange, avocado, and spinach * Sweet potato, kale, and lemon juice * Cucumber, avocado, and lime juice * Banana, dates, and romaine lettuce * Coconut water, dried apricots and celery * Coconut water, banana, and spinach * Pear, berries, and mache * Mango, gs, and celery * Oranges, cilantro, and butter lettuce * Raspberries, tangerines, and green leaf lettuce * Berries, raw honey, and cucumber * Apple, dates, and collard greens * Banana, grape, and red leaf lettuce * Apple, cauliflower, and cucumber * Watermelon with lime juice, and celery juice
