Life is a Journey

Updated: Jun 28, 2021

Good Morning.

It's been a while since we've talked, and that is totally my fault. But I've missed you. Why did I go MIA? I had to. As I've watched our freedoms being removed - one by one and then en masse, healing emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually was necessary.

I'm happy to report I'm still kicking and thrilled to see you reading this because it means you are also still kicking. Congratulations. This past year has been a journey of discomfort, where only the strong could survive.

We are the strong.

This is a good day to begin a health-journey. I'd like to challenge you to join me. We've all heard that life is a journey and not a destination. From the moment we take our first breath until the moment we take our last ... it is a JOURNEY. Life is full of challenges, and I would like to offer you the opportunity to join me on a health quest.

For example - here's mine:

I'm going to be 70 years young on my next birthday, and I'm reminded of the importance of making every second count. I want to return home from this earthly journey with no regrets. The past is gone. The future is determined by what I do now - in the present. I've decided to become as healthy as I can and go out with a "bang."

What does this mean?

Find something outside your comfort zone. I know, I know - at our age - getting out of bed in the morning is often outside our comfort zone! But you have to find something that pushes you to be healthy, happy, vibrant, scared, but excites you. It's got to push you mentally, emotionally, and mostly - physically. Spiritually will come easy - because you will pray to live through this.

Just kidding, sorta.

For me, I agreed to dance in public (my worst fear) in a local Virginia Beach competition (I hate competition) called:

"Dancing with the Hampton Roads Celebrity Stars," the fifth annual fundraising event to benefit local arts groups, will be held August 28th at 7:00 pm at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia Beach."

What the heck have I done? Someone save me from myself. How did this happen? Because I ran into Barbara Lewis at Town Center City Club in Virginia Beach: If any of you know Barbara, and she calls you "dumpling," you know you cannot say NO to her. She's always up to something fun and exciting - pushing you beyond your comfort zone, and you end up loving her for it.

So what does this mean?

It means you, my dear friends, and I are taking this challenge, together. WE are going to get healthy ... not so we can win this competition (I'm pretty sure I'm the oldest contestant), but so it doesn't kill. I need a TEAM (you) to train with me.

Tomorrow, I start training with May at Fitness Norfolk, and Jackie at Float Norfolk; oh, and of course with my professional dance trainer: Ricardo. He's Italian. Knowing you are with me will motivate and secure success.

In the meantime, I'm committed (out of desperation and fear) to live by the Medical Medium's 28-Day Cleanse: which means I am buying celery for fresh celery juice in BULK.

Are we excited yet?

Even if we don't win the dancing competition, we will survive, and we are going to have fun on this journey. A health challenge at age 70 can be daunting but exciting. At any age, working to improve health is worthwhile:

"Why? Because celery juice, when consumed in the right way, is a powerful and miraculous healing remedy and people are noticing the benefits it provides, such as clearer skin, improved digestion, less bloating, sustained energy, better mental clarity, weight loss, and stable moods, just to name a few."

Who wouldn't want all those benefits? I'd settle for some stable moods?

So what do you say? Will you join me on this journey? Make it your journey too? Root for us. Cheer us on. How? By becoming as healthy as you can. Renova-Reset has a program called 30-DAY RESET CHALLENGE. I challenge you to do it and dance with the stars.

Love you guys. See you tomorrow.

We can do this!
